The following is a list of the surnames that we are currently researching: Blaker Fisher Gullett Hughes McNair/McNeer Pyles Tate Taylor What we currently know of the family lines: The Blaker's came from Germany in the 1600's to PA, some stayed in PA and still live there. Our line branched off and went to Loudoun Co VA then onto Monroe Co WV. The Fisher's we have traced back to John Lewis Fisher who served in the Confederate Unit of Bryan's Battery of Virginia. The Gullett's are being stubborn. We know that our Grandfather: Charlie Allen Gullett was the son of one Dan Gullett (wife Martha). Charlie was born in Kentucky (we think) and married Minnie Tate of West Virginia. They had 2 sons: Charles Ray Gullett aka Junior (my father) born in Roderfield West Virginia and Richard Gullett who was born in Sullivan West Virginia. Any help on this side of the family would be great. McNair/McNeer came from Scotland in the 1700's to Maryland and onto Augusta County Virginia and our line went into Monroe County West Virginia. The Taylor's we only have to Paxston Taylor who married Sarah Collins in or around Monroe West Virginia. We would welcome any information on them. The Tate's we think came out of Virginia, but there again we are not sure. John Tate married Francis Wette/Whitt? producing Minnie Tate who married Charlie Allen Gullett in West Virginia. The Pyles we have back to Jacob Pyles who married Sarah Baker. Our line is with George Pyles who was a Confederate Soldier, he was taken prisoner to Point Lookout Maryland where he died. His daughter Martha Ellen married James Plunkett Fisher who also served in the Confederacy. The Hughes are from South Carolina around Dillion. There again we do not have very much information on them. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
